Back to school, again and again and again! (And loving every moment!)

My very OWN kindergartner!
Where will I be in on a Tuesday evening in early June of 2027? Sorry. I will be attending my daughter's high school graduation!

I can't tell you much more about the year 2027, except for the fact that it makes me feel vaguely old, and I fear we might have our cell phones implanted in our actual palms.

However, my sweet littlest daughter is scheduled for a milestone. Recently, we began the journey with another milestone, the first day of kindergarten!

The older of my daughters started fifth grade.  The year 2022 is her graduation year and somehow it is not to me quite as wild as 2027. Hopefully we will get there enjoying every moment.

Every year since I can remember, we have been putting signs in our front lawn to welcome students who attend elementary school on the the north end of our street and high school on the south end. It has become a treasured family tradition.
Little in the picture to the left is tiny clone of me on my first day of school. Her confidence for  school is extraordinary and she wants nothing more than to have the wide range of friends that her sister has.

Big in the picture in the left has changed so much in her six years of school it is hard to even remember how much.

Growing up the daughter of two teachers, so much of my life centered around school. I suppose the same is true for my own daughters.

With each new school year come the possibility of being a better teacher, learner, mom, colleague  and thinker. With that I will be happy to go back to school, again and again and again and again!
